HIFU Facial

HIFU means High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound. It is an advanced cosmetic technology which can significantly tighten and lift several areas of the face. Reducing signs of ageing and improve the tone of the skin in a single session with potentially long lasting effects. Simply, this involves emitting multiple ultrasound beams into the skin. Once the beams reach the relevant depths of the skin, they will converge, forming tiny and invisible ‘micro holes’ within the skin. As a result of these micro-holes, collagen fibres are encouraged to repair and strengthen, giving the skin a smoother and tighter appearance. This works to reduce signs of ageing such as wrinkles, crows feet and loose skin. Lifting the face for a more youthful appearance.

HIFU targets the epidermis, the dermis and the depth of 4.5mm which is the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) layer. HIFUs ability to target and tighten the SMAS layer is one of the main reasons why it is such a revolutionary, non-invasive treatment. This means the HIFU can deliver similar results to that of surgical procedures, without having to put bodies into risk or take time off work to recover. It takes 6-8 weeks for results to be seen due to muscle being repaired.
